Pin Bike is the patented system certifying, monitoring, and gamifying sustainable mobility in urban areas. This allows public administrations, companies, universities and schools to nudge behavioral change by directly rewarding citizens, employees, and students with real economic incentives.
Our patented system is based on a combination of hardware (sensors) and software (app and dashboard). Sensors can be installed within minutes on personal bikes and public transport vehicles; the platform i also able to track and monitor shared bicycles and e-scooters via software integration with the providers of the service, and also car-pooling without the use of hardware. All the data gathered is double checked with anti-spoofing technologies, ensuring very high security standards and reliability.
This enables our clients to promote sustainable mobility with real economic incentives: in the last years Pin Bike has distributed over 370.000€ in rewards to the users of the platform, monitored close to 4 million km ridden with sustainable means of transport and avoided more than 550.000 tons of CO2 to the atmosphere!
All data is gathered in compliance with GDPR and can be accessed via web app through an interactive dashboard, with features tailored on the customer. The dashboard is essential for local authorities and urban planners to analyze the data and support data-driven policies and investments in infrastructure.
Beyond its role in promoting sustainable transportation, Pin Bike significantly contributes to local economic development. Since users can be rewarded with vouchers that are redeemable at local shops. This synergy not only encourages sustainable mobility practices but also bolsters the local economy, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between mobility choices and commercial activity.
Pin Bike has launched projects in over 20 cities in 4 European countries; ranging from Istanbul to Lisbon, from Bari to Tallinn, the system has proven to be extremely flexible, scalable and adapt to very different contexts.
