The Bernard Parking Sites API contains information about parking space occupancy in (near) real time. The data is generated by AI-supported camera systems. It enables the monitoring of the current occupancy, aggregations for the identification of occupancy peaks up to forecasts.
The search for parking space accounts for a large share of urban automobile traffic. Intelligent parking controls can greatly reduce traffic congestion. With the help of real-time data on the occupancy of parking spaces, drivers can find a free parking space more quickly. In addition, historical analyses can be used to identify neuralgic points and thus provide city planners and traffic planners with information about the need for action.
Costs are incurred in particular for hardware procurement.
The connector to the OUP is already available. If the connector can be used directly in the existing configuration, costs of € 2950 arise.
There are no special considerations to be taken into account. All detailed information about the connection of the platform can be obtained from DKSR.
Data can only be collected if camera systems are installed.
The data is collected via image recognition software. A camera system can monitor several parking spaces and recognise the parking status of individual parking spaces.
The image recognition software is deployed on Edge. This means that the data evaluation takes place locally and directly on the device. Only the attributes of the image evaluation are passed on, but no video streams.
